Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Do I need to bring my own clubs?
A: If you don't own clubs then no, clubs will
be provided for you. If you own clubs, by
all means bring them.
Q: If I have clubs, what clubs should I bring to the first lesson?
A: All beginner classes should bring a pitching wedge (pw,p)
or sand wedge (sw,s). There is no need to bring a full set
of clubs and bag to the first session.
Full swing classes can bring your whole set for each session.
Q: Do I have to buy golf shoes and a glove to participate
in the lessons?
A: No, these items are not necessary. Tennis shoes will work
best and save you $$. Please DON'T wear slip on shoes,
mules, flip flops, dress shoes, open toed or old golf shoes
with metal spikes. A solid tennis shoe works best.
Gloves are an added benefit for reducing grip slippage.
Most can play without a glove and be comfortable.
Q: Where do we meet and how early should I arrive?
A: Please meet at the end of the driving range mats near the
little shed. Follow the path up the hill and you will find me
set up there, otherwise ask inside the pro shop.
Please arrive at least 5-10 minutes prior to starting time
for your first session. This gives you time to get familiar
with the property.
Q: Are there restrooms?
A: Restrooms are located in the pro shop/snack area.
Q: Do I need to bring golf balls to the session?
A: No, golf balls will be provided by the instructor.
Q: Are beverages provided during the lesson?
A: There is a water cooler available but feel free to bring
water to your lesson. Beverages/snacks may also be
purchased in the pro shop/snack area.
Q: May I come to the range outside of our lesson time?
A: Yes, Flagg Creek is open to the public and you may
purchase range tokens ( I recommend purchasing the 4
token package) in the pro shop to be used in the ball
machine at the range.
Q: Do I need to bring my clubs to the range to practice?
A: You can rent clubs to practice with in the pro shop but
I recommend bringing your own. I might be able to
provide you one to practice with in between lessons.
Q: What if it is raining prior to our lesson?
A: I do my best to hold all sessions weather permitting.
Typically I will make the call 1/2 hour prior to our lesson
time if we need to reschedule and will notify the pro shop
of cancellation. You may call the pro shop at 708-246-3336.
If we are rained out, I have a make up session planned the
week after our last "scheduled" lesson. This will be discussed
during our first meeting.
Q: What if it starts to rain during our session?
A: If the rain is not an absolute down pour, the class will continue.
Q: What if I cannot attend a class?
A: The scheduled dates are posted prior to singing up for a class. If you
have to miss due to a medical problem, I will do my best to
accommodate you. If you have a conflict and notify me promptly,
I will try to accommodate. Otherwise a missed class is just that..
a miss and no make up class will be provided.
